VBAC? Hypnobirthing? V.confused 🙁

Hi guys.

I had an emergency c-section with my now 5 year old boy, everything happened naturally, eaters & contraction. 17 hours of labour and 2 of pushing and he would not come out. I pushed and he’d come down then when I stopped he’d go back up again. They tried forceps and then opted for surgery.

My recovery was great, I was up and walking the next day, released 2 days later and driving after 4 weeks.

I had always thought I’d have a planned c-section if I had another baby as I think everything that happened at the end of my previous labour has really scared me!

I had an appointment with my consultant last week who basically told me I was being silly, a lot of women have a lot worse situations (I know this!) and I should just go natural.

Now I’m stressing more about what to do I thought she would help me decide🙁

I know I could do labour again, the pain wasn’t too bad, I coped well with just gas and air, but can I forget what happened last time.

So I guess my question is ladies who have had a VBAC, did they go as expected? Were you happy with your decision?

Ladies who had a planned c-section how did this go? Did you feel judged?

I have been looking up hypnobirthing, and will be going down this way if I have a natural labour. 🖤

Thanks for reading my rambling ha!
