Hcg levels and Down syndrome??

Is it true that high hcg levels in early pregnancy can indicate Down syndrome? My hcg was 690.5 at 4w2d and then went up to 4647 at 4w6d (doubling time of about 35 hours I believe). I looked at charts online and that level seems to be high and rising fast for almost 5 weeks and I saw some stuff about this regarding DA.

Am I totally off, or is this a symptom of Down syndrome? I’ll do the test for it but the wait is killing me :/
