How do i feed my 7 week old?

Question

Im looking for advice. My son just turned 7 weeks old and im wondering how do I produce more milk to feed him. He's currently on my breast and sucking away but nothing is coming out so he screams bloody murder. Hes basically on it all day so he empties them out and When he is really hungry nothing comes out. What do I do????
I reallt don't want to feed him formula but if theres no other options that's just what I might do. :(

Eat kits of almonds and oatmeal and drink your weight in water! Remember they eat a lot more during growth spurts

I would speak to a lactation consultant asap. they can help you do a weighted feed so you know exactly what he's getting. how is his wet diaper output? he should be having at least 6 pee diapers a day. do you pump at all? maybe you could give him a breastmilk bottle so you know he's getting something. might make you feel bettee.

Drink more water, eat oats, use a pump when they nap to up supply. What's likely going on is a supply and demand sort of thing, he's demanding more to get up your supply for a growth spurt that's happening, don't worry, you're likely feeding him just fine! The doctor will let you know at his two month checkup if his growth rate is a concern. It sucks, but just keep feeding!

I’m currently dealing with the same thing. My so however stopped nursing around 6 weeks so I’ve been pumping since then. But noticed over the past few days my supply is lower than usual. I know formula is suppose to be as good now. But it really bothers me that it may be a future option for my LO. So far I’ve started fenugreek (a couple of days ago) and Mother’s milk tea today. I’m praying something works for us. I’ll be talking with a lactation specialist soon too. Wishing you the best

Please try not to feel guilty if you need to use formula, it really is a wonderful option. According to research there are only 3 situations where formula has a significant long-term difference - if the baby is in the early days of being premature, has a compromised immune system, or is in a developing country with unsafe water. We had to swap to formula, and no joke there was a seriously dramatically improvement in the happiness of our whole family! Let me know if you want the name of a really good Facebook support group.

We rarely run out of milk, but they get super good at draining us so it seems that way.
