Would this mean that I’m not ovulating at all or just that I haven’t yet? I guess I thought that line was meant to get darker and darker until you finally ovulated.

you haven't ovulated yet. your LH levels don't slowly increase before ovulation, it's a surge that makes your body ovulate. this is my first month really using opks and I started testing at day 6, a little early, but I wanted to make sure I got it since it was my first month. I got my positive yesterday evening at 10pm. I test twice a day, at 5 and at 10. my 5pm test barely even had a visible line, This was my test at 10.
