Gag reflex brushing teeth???

So here’s a new one. I’m about 8 weeks and I can barely brush my teeth as about 5 seconds in i start retching. For some reason I’ve developed a really severe gag reflex! I guess related to nausea but seems weird. Anyone ever heard of this??

Happens to me, I have a hard time brushing my back teeth or tongue 🤢

Yup it gets worse when i brush my tongue! I gott do it quick so i can gag once bc if i get to the 3rd gag i end up throwing up!!🤢🤢🤮🤮

Happened to me too but to make it stop I started to breathe out my mouth while brushing, it worked

Try changing toothpastes. I switched to Tom’s and Colgate and was finally able to mostly brush my teeth with out immediate heaving.

For me it was the texture of the toothpaste once it foamed up. I'd go to spit and end up gagging and throwing up. Happened off and on for the whole pregnancy.

i absolutely hate brushing my teeth now omg , it was worse during the first trimester, id brush my tongue & vomit 2 seconds later 🤢

Had that both pregnancies. I couldn’t brush my tongue. Like literally couldn’t get even half my tongue brushed. 
I’d either barf everytime, or not brush.

Happened to me with my first pregnancy. I had to change toothpaste and brush my teeth with my finger. If I would throw up the whole day.

I had the same thing in my first trimester. I could barely brush the back of my teeth let alone the back of my tongue. For whatever reason it's gotten better in the second trimester but there's still a day every now and then that I struggle again.
