Been talking to this guy for 4 years

So when I was in middle school i met this guy, we were a thing for about 2 years. We still talk to this day, but try remaining friends. He always talks about his future goals and how he sees me as being his soul mate. And honestly, we have the same aspirations and he’s so different than so many guys out there. He’s so genuine and sweet. Idk there’s just a gut feeling telling me he’s the one, but again i’m really young. I wanna be with him, but there’s still that feeling telling me to meet other people. I feel terrible, even though we’re not together. He really likes me but i don’t know what to do or what to say without sounding or feeling like a terrible person. Any advice??
