AF needs to stop playing games!

So my af is always either early or on time, never late! So when my af was two days late I took up some courage and tested! There was what looked like a vvvfl so I waited a few more days to test again; also trying not to get my hopes up! The vvvfl was pinkish and not just the lines on the screen btw! So this morning (5 days late), I test again but didn’t see anything. Can af either just come or a pink line show up so I can stop having this “am I pregnant” mental game!?
