Tired of stressing
Hi ladies, I’m 22 and Married. I took BC pills for 6 years but stopped them July of 2017. My periods were always irregular before BC pills. After stopping my BC pills I had a period, the next was 8 weeks later, the next was 6 weeks later, the next was 5 weeks later (beginning December 12, 2017), then my next period never came... I was very concerned about not having a period so I made an appt with an OBGYN that was recommended to me. They drew labs once a week for four weeks with no signs of ovulation. At that point I was incredibly scared. I only went to the OBGYN to help me have a period and then they tell me my labs indicate I’m not ovulating?! They prescribed me Provera 10mg x10 Days. I started that march 1st. Ended March 10th. No period. No period after a week. No period after 10 days. So I decided to call the OBGYN to tell them I never started. The nurse called me back at the end of the day to tell me that the Doctor wants to send me to an infertility specialist! Keep in mind my husband and I aren’t ‘trying’ to conceive. We aren’t using protection so of course if it happens that is okay but we aren’t trying. They didn’t give me any explanation or diagnosis or guidance at all. I am very disappointed. So this morning around 1am my husband and I had sex and when we finished we started to clean up and I realized I started my period! I was embarrassed but relieved. So today is Day 14 after the last provera tablet. I’m still going to follow up with the infertility specialist in hopes of figuring out why my cycle is so crazy and to make sure that I am in fact ovulating. That way, if I am for some reason going to have a hard time getting pregnant, my husband and I can get to work trying. Anyone else have similar stories? I would love to hear about them.
