A Puppy and IVF

Is getting a puppy and starting IVF all at the same time too much?

I’ve been hanging for a dog until my studies were over, which they now are. He wants a baby. I want both. About to start the ICSI pathway after > 2 years TTC.

I think the dog will be a great comfort, I’ll have at least 9 months to train it and likelihood is IVF won’t work round 1. He’s worried about IVF stress and pregnancy illness and dog getting forgotten.

Not sure how much I’m getting in for with IVF.
