HPV experiences?

I just found out I have HPV I am so scared...I'm reading about it and every article makes it sound a lot worst. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I want to be healthy and have my baby be healthy. Any mom's experience this?

Do you have actual warts or you just carry it?
I'm 38 and most people my age have it because there wasn't a vaccine yet. 85% of people my age or older have it. It's really not a big deal unless you have cervical warts and precancerous cells that never get treated. Most of the time they clear on their own. But if they don't, they can eventually develop into cervical cancer. But it takes years, so if you're going to your pap tests, your dr will treat you well before that happens. And if you do have warts, your dr can treat them before baby comes. I've had HPV for at least 15 years that I know of, and have only had an abnormal pap test once, and within a few months it was clear again. That was 15 years ago (that's how I discovered that I have HPV) and no issues since. I'm due next week with my 4th baby. 
Basically.....no biggie.

I found out I had HPV when I was pregnant and my OB explained to me that in most cases giving birth vaginally will clear the cells that are infected on your cervix and that's exactly what happened. I had to have a separate IV of medicine in labor and delivery but they asked everyone to leave the room before they explained it to me so that my family wouldnt know. And after birth I had to have one biopsy (which is very painful I'm not going to lie) but after that I never tested positive again! Best of luck to you!

I had HPV but the doctors told me it can go away on its own and they just needed to keep checking on it. Mine went away.

I had an abnormal smear at about 10 weeks that detected HPV and I went for another exam at the hospital. The doctor said that after you give birth your cervix pretty much regenerates so told me there was nothing to worry about but has told me to go for another smear after I have the baby. 
I was so worried too, but was totally reassured by the doctor. Hope this helps!
