Are you close with your boyfriend’s sister?

It’s been hard for me and my boyfriend’s sister to click. They’re part of triplets and don’t have the best relationship; she always picks on his flaws and belittles him which is a huge part in why I’m distant from her. But it’s important to me and my boyfriend that his sister and I are friends. Any suggestions?

Omg good luck. I really hope it works out for you. I was so excited that my husband had a sister just a couple years younger than me because my sisters are 8 and 6 years younger than me. I was so excited that I was going to have a best friend, at least that’s how she made it seem at first. After the first year she became a total nightmare. She went through a bunch of personal stuff. Cheated on her husband (she was a young mom and young bride) got pregnant by booty call and move back in to my in laws. I already knew she was a bitch from all the stories I had heard about her attitude and all but it was very different when she got mad at me. Shed try and get my husband against me using their relationship and she wouldn’t allow her kids to come near me even though they loved me. It was bad. We’ve had a very roller coaster like relationship and now we haven’t spoken since September because she went total beast on me and my husband told me he didn’t want me having any contact with her anymore and he’s done the same. Lucky for me my husband has always defended me against her and his parents otherwise I don’t think we would’ve gotten married. My sister in law is unfortunately a total disaster and not my best friend after all. It only took 7 years of me trying time after time to finally say we’re better off being out of each others lives 100%. I really hope yours comes around and you get to have that relationship and peace but if not I hope that your bf can just be ok with you guys being civil and not necessarily besties.

I was scared to meet her initially because she seemed so intimidating & she fucking is but man she is great & she loves me more than any of the other girls because my fiance has never ever had anything to complain about regarding me or our relationship, i don’t try to hard to be in her business & make her like me, & i don’t get jealous of him wanting to spending time with her. I dont get along with my husband sisters, and that is probably because i disagree with them on some occasions. I personally dont like to talk bad about others or open my mouth when it has nothing to do with me... on the other hand, they like to talk smack about everyone (including myself). I can go on and on, but its for the best to Keep my distance from my husband family.
