Would you stay with your boyfriend if he was lazy?

My boyfriend doesn’t have a job, go to school or anything. I go to school and work. I try to motivate him to gtf up and stop letting his life pass him by but he doesn’t. He thinks it’s okay. My mom thinks I should end things before we get too serious. Would you stay with someone you love who is lazy and doesn’t want better for themselves?

The only reason a grown man shouldn't be working is if hes disabled or something just as serious. An adult should want to have their own money and want to be able to support themselves! I had a job at 15 because I wanted to be able to buy myself things.

The second my boyfriend moved in with me I told him he had to get a job or it wouldn’t work (he use to live down south) And that boy did exactly that, he spoke to his old manager (from when he use to live up here) and got his job back. There was no way I was having a man live with me and doing fuck all with his life, and he respected that and knew what he had to do.

Try talking to him about it. He could be depressed. For a while i wasn’t going to school or working and would just sleep all day because of my depression so maybe this could be the issue?
