choices in labour🤔 long post

Hey all, I have a friend who is currently 37 weeks pregnant with her first child ,her plan was to have her partner and his cuson (who she has become close to and who has supported her a lot during pregnancy when the rest of his family just slated them) present at the birth. he recently said he wanted it to be just those 2 at the birth with no explanation she has confided in me saying that's not what she wants a: because he doesn't cope well when she has a headache let alone knowing how he'll react to her being in labour. b: she wants someone who can be there to support them both as he's the queasy type. and c: she wants his cuson there as a thanks for sharing, caring and helping during the pregnancy. but she won't open up. I and tell him. I think she is scared of him or there is more to the story. So my question is: besides the fact the midwife has most control over baby and mum's safety during labour and birth who's choice should it be?

who is there???
