Is this outfit okay?

Question

After 11 years of working in the same career I am finally going to my first interview for a totally different career. I have been applying like crazy for a job in accounting but keep getting rejected since my current career is in a completely different field. I finally got a call back and I am beyond nervous. I haven't had to do an interview in over 11 years and I don't even know what to wear. This is what I chose to go with. What do you all think???

I think it’s cute and would be fine for most companies.
But, accountants tend to be on the more conservative side and people imagine them that way. My point is, it can be beneficial to look the part when you want someone to hire you. I’d say it’s perfect for a marketing position but I’d aim a little more traditional/conservative for an accounting position.

I think this looks great! At the risk of sounding like a sales person (since I work for an agency)....I would strongly recommend registering with a staffing agency, especially one that focuses on accounting. They are just another set of eyes to aid in your job search. And often times, they go directly through hiring managers instead of the automated processes that aren’t always the most friendly. Good ones will also offer additional training and skill evaluations to really help advance your career. Best of luck to you!!
