I am starting the NuvaRing for the first time. I’m supposed to take it when my period starts but I put it in today after thinking I got my period but now I’m not so sure.

Basically I went to the bathroom, wiped, saw discharge with blood mixed in and thought cool my period is here.

Now I have the NuvaRing in but I’m not entirely confident I’ve started my period because I haven’t seen any blood since. Is it bad that I put it in early? Should I take it out?

My period should have started today according to glow.
