I’m 18 almost 19, have a 3 and a half week old son and living with my baby’s father. I wanna move out as I’m ready to leave him. He has a drinking problem which hasn’t changed since my sons been born which he promised me it would that’s why I stayed. We’re on universal credit as a joint claim so all money goes to his account, the house isn’t in my name and it’s only rented anyway, how can I move with none of my own money? Am I entitled to housing with a baby? Would I get somewhere with the council straight away? How do I apply? I’ve looked on council website and it doesn’t really give me the answer.
