Age gap? Is 6 years bad?

I’ve been talking to this guy and he’s a good person and I like talking to him. Only problem is I’m 19 and he’s turning 25 in a month and this just makes me feel uncomfortable. 😂I know it’s not that big of a deal I just feel like my parents aren’t going to like the 6 year age gap with this guy I’m going to date 😬I usually hangout with guys my age. Thoughts?

I met my guy at 17, he was 24, so 7 year gap between us. 
I'm now 23, he's turning 30 & we're married with a beautiful baby boy. 
In all honesty, I'm glad he's older. He's more mature, and left all traces of his party boy younger years behind him. Plus he's smarter cause hes lived a little more. I've never once felt like 7 years was too much, I actually don't even really ever think about it. If you two are mature consenting adults in a healthy relationship,  age really is just a number.

I was 19 when I met my fiance who was 25. We've been together 2 years and (was) getting married in October. But, date has moved due to our first baby is due a week after our wedding date!
It is a little difficult at first bc he has lived and done a little more. But sometimes you will have to trust he knows best bc he's done it. My "19 year old I know everything" attitude caused many fights. More than half he was right to begin with but I was 19 and thought I knew best. He was very patient and knew what he was getting into being with someone so much younger. But we've never been happier with anyone else. :) I'm 21 he's 27 now.. That attitude has passed for the most part. Now I'm 21 and know even more ;) jk lol Our birthdays are 4 days apart so it's almost exactly 6 years. Don't let age discourage you!!!!

Six years is not a huge deal - says the 37 year old whose husband is 55. ☺️ Let your parents voice their opinions. They are allowed to have them and they are allowed to be concerned about you. But, don't assume you know how they will react. They might surprise you. Approach them with maturity, hear them out, and, if you disagree with what they say, be respectful about it. Let them know you have heard and respect them, but that you are going to explore this relationship - if that's what you decide to do. I think that's really the best you can do. My parents weren't excited about the 18 year gap between me and my husband and I was 29 when we met.  They've warmed up to him, though, and are big fans now. Be patient with your parents.
