wavy hair! HELP!!

hey yall so I have crazy frizzy wavy hair. I recently chopped about 3 inches off and got it layered so its extra crazy and wavy now. i usually think it looks okay but stupid guys make comments about me not brushing my hair. I can't or it messes it up but I guess that means it looks messy to other people. I need tips, ladies!
