So, what are your opinions about taking out new born baby, like to grandmas house or to church for example? Is it save after the mommy’s recovery?? Or after her two week shot??

My pediatrician said no places where lots of people congregate such as churches, airports etc until 2 months as their immune systems aren’t strong enough yet. It’s fine to go to grandmas etc but be diligent about hand washing for anyone who touches her. Sanitizer doesn’t kill all germs (as per my pediatrician).

we took him out when he was almost 2 weeks old. early for breakfast to a small restsurant where we knew there wouldnt be very many people. he got 2 shots the day he was born, so we felt it was okay.

we take ours out with us, but she never leaves the car seat and we don't let anyone touch her. we also make sure we wash our hands or use sanitizer before we touch her. we've had appointments and haven't had much choice though.

My baby didn’t get any shots at two weeks...
We go out to the grocery store a few times a week but baby never leaves her car seat or Ergo carrier. I personally wouldn’t go to church where people will want to touch him. I only go places where I won’t run into people I know. Hahaha. That guarantees no one will mess with us.
Our pediatrician gave us the go ahead to get out and about at our 2 week appointment so that’s when we started with the grocery store trips. We also try to go on daily walks outside if it’s warm.

I would say grandmas house is okay but not church until all shots at six weeks. The flu is still going strong so any public place I would avoid and anyone who’s been sick.
