Easter

Do you and your significant other do Easter baskets, stockings, Valentine’s Day for each other? We do these all for our children, but I personally believe it is good for them to also get in on the ‘giving’ of these holidays rather than being the only receivers. Every holiday I get my daughter involved in picking out gifts for her dad, filling his stocking, and doing an Easter basket. Every holiday, however, he conveniently ‘forgets’ or picks something up at the gas station on his way home from work the night before. We have been doing this for 4+ years, yet he almost always claims he didn’t realize we were doing these things for each other when I present him with his gift. I almost always remind him, too. I am curious if other families get the parents involved as well, or if it is not typical and I should let him off the hook?
