How long is a good amount of time for the father to take off after baby is born? (If approved time off request isn’t an issue)

where I'm from the father gets 10 business days off, that's by law and they can't not take them. then they can choose to get 15 more business days and the employer can't deny them. This way they get to stay home for a bit over a month, which is awesome for the family to get into a schedule 😊

As much as he is able :) my fiancé could only take 4 days which I am blessed he was able to take a few days but it would definitely have been nicer if he had longer.

My husband gets 8 weeks of paid parental leave at his company. But who knows if I want to leave him with the baby alone 😂😂😂😂 over protective first time mom.

My husband took of two weeks, but after a week we both were ready to get back to our regular routine, so he went back. He took another week off when she was about a month old to spend time with us while family was visiting. With baby #2 I think we will shoot for two weeks again, it’s nice to have the time if you need it!

My husband only gets 2 weeks because he’s a grad student and not eligible for FMLA. Luckily his schedule is very very flexible and he can make his own hours for the most part, so he’ll be working from home a lot after his 2 weeks are up.
