Is Dylan ruined???

I actually had a feeling some Dylan somewhere was going to come out doing something really f$&@ed up right before this baby is born.  Now I am fighting myself to associate Dylan with a racist, backwoods mass murderer.  Thoughts?

No it's not ruined. He wasn't the first Dylan to mess up and he won't be the last. If you go through history looking for an unblemished name you will be hard put to find one. I know a few awesome Dylan's. Back in Kauai, HI where I am from there is a local boy, Dylan Hooser, who is running for local office, is doing amazing things and making a lot of people proud of the name Dylan

My husband's name is Dillon. Maybe change the spelling? I don't think the name is ruined at all.

His name is spelled Dylann if that makes a difference.

My son's name is Dylan I still love it and I'm sure people aren't going to think anything cause his name is Dylan.

I think for now it might be a sensitive-ish name but maybe not. For instance, I didn't think too much of it until you said it. Even if it is, it won't be for long... People won't remember the guy for his name but for his actions...
