Shoulder or Backpack style diaper bag?

Looking for recommendations on the most practical option from experienced moms!

I had a shoulder first and HATED it. Backpack is so much easier especially when they start to get older

I’m going back pack. Being a nanny for 5 years I have carried MANY diaper bags and I tell ya. No matter what, shoulder straps start to hurt terribly after a while of carrying them and just fall off when trying to juggle a squirming baby. Now that I’m having my own I’m definitely doing back pack 😂

We just went with a regular backpack and put her initials on it. It much bigger than any other diaper bag backpack I could find.

I'm just not a backpack girl even though I can see the convenience. I have a crossbody. Hands free is important.

A lot kf people love the backpack, but I really prefer the crossbody/shoulder. I’ve never had any issues with worrying about being hands-free, and it’s super easy to grab things while still walking, which is even more helpful now that my first is two and snacks constantly!

we have a shoulder style for our daughter but have a backpack on order for when our 2nd comes. the shoulder just slips off to often and I don't wanna deal with that lol
