Chances of a VBAC

Wendy

I’m just starting to get myself informed on a VBAC. I recently had a csection because my baby was sunnyside up and I was pushing for over 4 hours and nothing. I was never offered an option to try to pull my baby out or anything. I was so tired of pushing and the ob automatically gave the option of csection. Everything in my pregnancy went perfect and I dilated completely. My mother even saw the baby’s hair. She just wasn’t able to come out. What are the chance I could do a VBAC when I decide to have another child ?

Depends on a lot of factors, check the ACOG website for info, the ICAN network In your area (they are active on Facebook) for my doctors I had to be double sutured, wait at least 18 months in between babies, etc. find a supportive provider.

As long as your incision wasn’t vertical, there’s a good chance you can do VBAC next time
