Cloth Diapers: Yay or Nay?

Question

I'm a FTM and I'm debating cloth diapering or no? Can anyone tell me their thoughts? Cons and pros? TIA.

Cloth diapers:
Higher cost upfront
Lower cost in the long run
Maintenance of cleaning them 
Are not really any less of an impact on the environment since you have to use water and soap to clean them.

Disposable:
Cheaper cost upfront 
Higher cost in the long run
Lower maintenance since they just go in the trash
Environmental impact of filling up landfills with nondisintegrating disposable diapers.

Pretty close really, I personally use disposable because we just didn't want the chore of washing dirty diapers but that's just us. I know people who use cloth and love them. Definitely research and get both sides options of their likes and dislikes.

Non biodegradable diapers (including honest company) take two thousand years to decompose and by the time your child is potty trained it's equals about one ton of waste. :(

Cloth. Less frequent diaper rash, potty trained earlier, can reuse if you have another kid, I bought most of my stash for about $100, your baby isn't sitting in chemicals and lastly, they are adorable!

If you are planning on doing daycare you may not be able to. I know all the day area we looked at said "disposable diapers only" so something to think about there. If you do decide to do cloth always keep some disposable on had invade baby gets sick. With a bad belly you can go through way more diapers In a day then you will even  have of disposable .

I cloth diaper most of the time I still use disposables here and there. I have just found Grovia diapers not long ago and really like them. I'm thinking of selling most my gdiapers and buying more Grovia. It is more up front but can reuse for more than one child and I was 2-3 times a week. As long as you have a good wash routine, it's pretty simple :)

the amount of diaper changes. honestly I could not imagine washing poopy clothes all the time. but I have seen the cloth diapers with the disposable linings that are super cute and you don't have to wash the outer part as often. unless there's a leakage problem.
