How "close" are you and your SO?

Question

Obviously we're all close to our SOs but if you truly think about how close are you really? How attached are you? What got me thinking about this is the fact that my husband is on a guy's camping trip and while some wives would enjoy the break I've been fighting back tears all evening, cuddling with his t-shirt, and missing him miserably even though he's been gone for less than 12hrs and will be back bright and early on Sunday! Pathetic I know...but honestly we've been together for almost 9 years now and have only been apart for a handful of days in that time. Sure we have our separate friends, interests, and lives, but we always connect at some point every single day. Even when we were just dating it was that way. Yes we have disagreements like every other couple but we never end a day angry and always end up cuddling in bed together every night. That's just us, pretty connected and attached at the hip 😝

So how are you and your SO? Every couple displays their love and devotion in different ways, that's ours so what's yours? I'm just curious to see how other couples interact, no judgements because like I said, we all have our own ways 😉

My husband is in the military, and can be gone for 9 or 10 months at a time, and has deployed 6 times. It doesn't ever really get easier. We both hate it when he has to go, but we manage. We get through it. We are able to e-mail and he can connect to wifi calling in ports and we can Skype. We even got to share a New Year's kiss through Skype, with him in front of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and me on my lunch break at work on New Year's Eve. Neither of us likes the separation, but we make the best of it. We're both very independent people who have our own hobbies, interests, and friends, but we are better together. There is nothing that feels better than that first hug after 10 months apart.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year and I am soooo in love with him. I can't stand to be away from him. We don't live together but he pretty much spends every night with me. If I don't  see him for a day I go nuts. Lonely, crying the whole bit. I was actually starting to think something was wrong with me. But after reading these comments from married people I know that I am 1000% in love with my man, and it's normal to miss him after just a short time apart💖

That's how me and my fiancé are. We started living together after about 3 months of dating and after that we never spent a night away from each other. A year and a half of being with each other day and night I went on a week long trip to Chicago and I cried myself to sleep every night after we hung up from facetimeing. We've been together now almost 2 1/2 years and that week was enough for me lol. We're expecting our first child in the next 7 weeks and my biggest fear is he won't be able to stay with me at the hospital because of his new job. I know I must sound crazy to some people but honestly it's the greatest feeling in the world knowing that being apart from him for a night is honestly the worst thing that could happen instead of worrying about cheating and all that other nonsense.

My husband and I have been together since we were 14 and 15 and now we're 29 and 30 respectively. We're extremely close! I think I've spent no more than 8 or 9 nights away from him the entire time. He's absolutely my soul mate. 💑

I'm actually like you lol me and my boyfriend got in an argument and I went to my family's to stay for a week or to because they live 4-5 hours away and I cried everyday and wouldn't leave the house I ended up coming back 3 days after our argument because I can't stand being away from him :( he is my everything even though we fight and Aruge and say stuff we don't mean. I am not complete without him :) and we have been together almost 2 years and expecting our first baby in November :)

I'm the same way I have been with my husband for 7 years married for one year and when my sister took me to vegas before the wedding for 3 days I cried every night and felt so lonely and missed him pushing me off the bed lol that still never stops but yes I'm pretty attached to him plus we get our break from each other while each at work so that's a good enough break ;)

I'm the same. I'm so glad my husband doesn't travel hardly ever for work. He did have to go away for a 4 day convention out of state for work when my daughter was 6 months old. I couldn't sleep at all when he was gone and I had an anxiety attack while he was gone from ppd. It sucked. I'm not a very independent woman, but I'm ok with that. He is my everything.

My hubby and I are pretty close. Due to the nature of his depending, ever changing, traveling job I don't work, and most of the time we are away from family so it's just he and I.

Been married almost 10 years and still miss him terribly if he travels for work or something. You'd think after 9 years of USMC and all the deployments, training, etc that being apart wouldn't be as big of a deal but it is. He's my best friend. I'm an emotional wreck every time he leaves, though I've learned how to handle things on my own. When he's gone I'm more irritable and emotional. Some relationships are just like that.
