Made injections worse than they really are.

Shaun

Went to the GD dietitian today. I was told my night time snacks weren't helping no matter what options I ate and my fasting numbers were too high. She said a combination of hormones, stress due to other medical issues and lack of sleep has had a huge impact on my numbers. So she gave me 3 choices, insulin and two types of pills that aren't FDA approved in pregnancy but it's used and they cross the placenta.

I chose insulin cause I take too much stuff daily. I was soo scared to take the insulin because of needles (syringes). She showed me the auto injection pen and it had the thinnest shortest needle. I made this GTFOH face and she had me stick myself in front of her. I was apprehensive, but did it. I literally felt NOTHING!! I stuck myself on the side of my belly where I could grab a chunk of fat. It's like poking yourself with a marker. I scared myself for nothing. If this means my child won't have to suffer from my high blood sugar when they are born then I can deal with sticking myself nightly 😏
