What is the earliest u can get an ultrasound

I found out yesterday that I’m pregnant

and I’m over the moon excited what’s the earliest u can get an ultrasound this is my first baby I’m 21 from what I’m calculating I’m around 3-4 weeks got it confirmed last night after work at the er that I am defiantly pregnant but no way to tell how far until I get an ultrasound

I'm pretty sure it's around 8 weeks. my first was at 9 weeks

8 weeks was the earliest I was able to get one. Not much to see though.

I had an early ultrasound at a free pregnancy clinic because I had absolutely no idea of how far along I could've been. Your OB may or may not send for one, if you know when your last period was then they'll probably go off of that. If you're low risk then I'm not sure when they'll do ultrasounds for you since I am high risk I get them more often than usual.

7 to 12 weeks is standard for them to perform an ultrasound.

Before 6 weeks they can't see anything. Maybe a sac at best.  Around 7 weeks they can usually find heartbeat.

They usually wait till 6-8 weeks. At 6 weeks it’s just a dot and anything before that there’s not much at all to see.

Depends on where you live and your history of pregnancies (if you’ve had one before) but typically here where I’m from we do the first ultrasound anywhere between 16 to 21 weeks - it also depends on how busy the place/doctors/OB’s are and what policies they have for timeline wise.
