Moving away for college?

I’m 21 and I’ve been in college for 3 years now. I didn’t really adjust well right from the beginning and am still struggling. I still miss my home and my friends. I’m so much happier when I’m in my hometown. I feel like people are establishing their lives in bigger cities and I just barely make it to the next break so I can go home. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you found your crowd in your college town? That makes a world of a difference. I went to community college for a while and then I went to a university. The university I went to was a mostly toxic environment. Then I moved to the university I’m at now and I found mostly everyone here is kind and I’ve found a group of genuine people. Now I’m happy.

Yes, that’s why I transferred to a school in my hometown after my sophomore year.
