How long is it safe to fast?

I’m trying to lose weight and want to know how long it is okay to fast for

Fasting will not help you lose weight. Your body will go into starvation mode

Fasting does nothing to aid weight loss. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you HAVE to eat. Cut out junk food and sugar, drink lots of water. Eat lots of protein, leafy green veggies and healthy fats. Exercise 4-5 times a week. I've lost 80 lbs in the last couple years and never starved myself.

Tbh, you should only fast for religious reasons. If you eat healthy foods, you will lose weight. Healthy weight loss takes time.

Um you should never fast unless your doctor tells you to. Don’t fall for fad diets. Losing weight takes a lot of time, determination, and strength. Instead do meal preps, eat 2,000 calories a day of nutritious foods (3 square meals with snacks in between). And work out 3-4 days a week doing both cardio and weight training.

Not safe I used to battle with anorexia and at the start yes you will shed loads of weight more than you ever have and you’ll be happy because the scales will drop a lot but your body panics and uses the fat left over so you will start to put more weight on the next time you eat , double than you normally would because your tricking your body whilst your fasting you will become extremely moody weak and tired and I didn’t interact with anyone on these days looking back it was horrible and as soon as I ate again I felt even more horrible because my body needed food that much I put on double the weight so just don’t do it at all if your looking to lose weight I recommend a healthy diet and exercise please do not go down the path I went down it’s a horrible experience and eventually you will lose control just like I did x

I fasted for 7 days but for the purposes of prayer and fasting, not weight loss. And I only fasted from sun up to sun down so ate still at dinner and an early breakfast. 
Fasting isn’t going to help with weight loss. In fact, depriving your body of food can actually cause you to gain weight because you body switches to survival mode and starts storing what little you do eat.

Fasting for multiple days at a time isn’t safe and will not help you achieve your goals. It will cause your body to hold onto fat because it isnt sure when it will next get fed. If you want to lose weight eat healthy and exercise.
