period ended, spotting, IUD

i’ve had my iud since feb 7th 2018. my period ended about two days ago, but today i started spotting some old blood and am crampy. i did go to the obgyn wednesday, when the period stopped, and she did look at a cyst that i have, could that have triggered more bleeding?

or is this just the spotting/cramping that comes with having IUDs?
