Preventing stretch marks??!! 😳

Everyone please give me some advice! What is the best cream/oil, etc., to prevent stretch marks? When do they usually start appearing? What week/month of pregnancy? Was anyone able to prevent them so far?

If you're going to get them, you're going to get them. I used cocoa butter and lotion every day with my first and I got them anyway. It's in my DNA. I have come to embrace them. There's nothing I can do, so it is what it is. 😉

My girlfriend picked me up a solid lotion bar made of coconut oil (+) -- she's into super organic eating and oils. She bought it from Lush cosmetics. I rub that bar everywhere after showers and so far so good!! She's looks amazing after having her daughter 4 years ago so I listen to everything she tells me!

- the bar has 3 indents down the middle and one is popped out (it resembles that everyone 1 in 4 babies is born with an outtie! So stinkin cute!

You can't really prevent them. It's genetic most of the time so if your mom has them you have a higher chance of getting them as well. My mom had 5 kids and has no sure th marks. Also lotion everyday and drink lots of water to keep skin hydrated. I use a cocoa butter lotion.

I've been using Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter and I love it. I use it 2x a day. It has a really nice, mild scent and absorbs really nicely. It helps a TON with keeping the itch in check and so far, no stretch marks. My mom has them, so I'll probably get them too at some point, but for now (19wks today) so far, so good.

I cocoa butter every single day, I have bought so much stuff to cover my belly... But I have streach marks... Quite a few of them... And I am 20 weeks with twins

I'm 20 weeks, & just found my first stretch mark, but on my boob! (It has been itching like crazy) I try not to scratch lol! I drink plenty of water & lotion up and still started getting them. My mother, nor grandmother have any. So we will see! Also I've only gained 3 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight so who knows

I like cocoa butter, but as the other women have said its hard to prevent them. It's best to drink lots of water and use lotion. It won't stop it but it will keep them from looking as bad.

I never got them with my son and I haven't gotten them yet! I just moisturize and moisturize and try to refrain from eating for two because you only need 300 extra calories. So slowly gain the weight! Good luck.
