GBS Positive or Negative?

Marisa

I was GBS + with my first and got the antibiotics during labor. In retrospect, this was probably the cause of our poor breastfeeding relationship because she developed thrush, and I got painful nipple infections.

Fast forward to my second, I was GBS- and we had a flawless breastfeeding experience.

I had the GBS test for my third on Monday and called for the results. My doctor called me back but I was unable to answer and her voicemail was “if you don’t mind we can discuss the results at your next consultation” (which is Monday). She said “nothing urgent” in her message twice. In the past, when results have been negative (such as Nuchal test, etc) she has sent me a message just saying that or an email. So is she hinting that I’m positive and wants to go over it with me? Or that I’m negative but since my appt is Monday she wants to tell me then because I’ll be in anyway. I really don’t want to go through the thrush crap again and I know if I get antibiotics it’s inevitable!!!
