Should I take a test?

My period is officially one month late today, and for the past few months it’s been coming like clockwork. BUT this has happened to me before. My period is somewhat irregular, every now and again my period will stop coming every month, and begin coming every other month so it’s kind of hard to track sometimes. I haven’t really had any symptoms other than most recently my nipples are sore 🤷🏾‍♀️ other than that I’m fine. My best friend who just had a baby said when she first found out she was pregnant she didn’t have any symptoms either she just missed her period, bought a test, and then boom she found out she was pregnant. The potential father has already said his opinion on it... he doesn’t want me to keep the baby if I am pregnant because we’re not ready, and I can get where he’s coming from partially. I mean financially, no we’re not ready for a baby as well as emotionally, we’re not even sure if we want to really be together our whole lives so I get where he’s coming from. But I can’t kill my child, and I can’t live with knowing someone else is out there raising my child...so if I am I’m going to keep it 🤷🏾‍♀️. I was thinking I should just bite the bullet and take a test today but eve says my period should be here within a week. So should I take a test today or just wait it out a little while longer?
