STILL PUMPING???!

Question

So, I keep getting these comments at work summarized as, oh, your STILL pumping?

Is it that unusual to nurse your baby ALL the way to their birthday???
Please let me know!!!
Are you still nursing and if not why???

I’m still pumping (I exclusively pump and bottle feed my son). I’m a teacher and I get this response from my AP... I don’t understand why it’s weird to want to give my son breastmilk!? They haven’t been very accommodating at work. I basically pump while I’m eating my lunch every day, and it’s barely enough time. 😑

Still EBF. Loving it. My goal was 6mos. Made it. Guess my new goal is 9mos 🤷🏻‍♀️ then who knows maybe a year. I won’t go past 1 though. I think I’ll be ready to be done by then. And if I make it till 1 that’s double my goal so I’ll be good with that 🙌🏼 especially considering I had such difficulty the first 6 weeks. Back then I didn’t think I’d make it that far.

I commend all women who can pump or EBF to their babies’ first birthday or beyond. I struggled with breastfeeding from the get go. I was not producing enough so we had to supplement at 2 weeks old. I was devastated. When I went back to work my supply took a even bigger plunge since I was only able to pump 2 times a day and breastfeed at night. With baby girl teething she doesn’t even breastfeed for more than 10 minutes. So I am now exclusively pumping 3-4 times a day. It is exhausting. My supply is nil not dried up yet. I am trying to get to at least 9 months. I am contemplating stopping. Ugh the struggle!!

I’m still breast feeding and pump at all of my breaks at work. I hear the same thing from one of my co workers and it drives me NUTS! Like yes I’m STILL pumping and no I’m NOT going to stop! It’s not a bad thing to take the extra time to take care of our babies, even if others chose to do things a little different ☺️ keep up the good work momma!

Still pumping 3-7 times a day and nursing. Hoping to make it to at least a year with the pumping and then continuing to nurse as long as she’s interested. The recommendation is to go at least a year, so keep doing what you’re doing! ☺️

With my last I pumped for a year, and continued nursing until she was over two, when my milk dried up when I was pregnant again. Completely normal!

im still pumping! (moooo) I am moving to pumping every 4 hours at work instead of every 2, and seeing how that goes. I've been blessed with an over supply, but it gets painful so I'm hoping to regulate a little more now that she's over the 6 month hump
