How much milk??

Question

I breastfeed and give my son 2 5oz bottles while I’m at work. I’m not pumping quite as much now. I’m wondering is it okay to just give him what I’m pumping and supplement with more solid food, or should I give him one bottle of formula? 
Anyone dealt with this and how have you went about it?

I've  noticed no matter how much  food I give baby, she wants her milk.  The same amount of milk as normal.

They should be having the same amount of mill- solids are just "extra". Milk is their main source of calories and nutrition. I am not pumping enough anymore so sometimes she has to have one formula bottle at daycare now as my frozen stash is done. Sometimes she's okay with 8-10 oz at daycare but sometimes she wants more. I felt guilty at first but it's nice not to have to stress in the evening/nighttime to pump extra and not spend time with baby and dad.

I supplemented with formula when I went back to work. I would make the bottles with 2 oz. of formula and 3 of breast milk just to get your little one used to formula.

My baby started eating more solids, but she still drinks the same amount. She eats two 4 oz jars and three 5 oz bottles while I’m at work which is like 8 hours

I’m not 100% sure what is correct about supplementing with solids at this age, but I always leave 1-1.5 ounces per hour that I’m gone, that should cover it milk wise. If I don’t pump enough fresh milk I will take it from the milk I have frozen or tell them to make a bottle of formula. She gets about 2 ounces of solids while I’m at work, also. I’d say it depends on how long you are away from baby, but I’ve always heard rules of thumb is 1-1.5 ounces per hour. I hope that helps?
