Okay so let me start this with we really don't just want the money, were not crazy selfish, but seeing as we're moving 1000 miles and starting new careers right before baby is born, I would prefer it in this case.....

So my MIL is throwing me a baby-q so my husband's family doesn't have to travel to my parents where my baby shower is. I am so grateful for that and I understand that they're taking this expense on themselves and that would honestly be more than enough.... BUT they called to talk about the new deck and patio their building FOR the baby shower. My MIL also keeps trying to figure out a surprise for me at the party, even though she knows I absolutely hate surprises. Okay whatever, so then Yesterday she told my husband that after the party, new deck and patio, and my surprise they'll probably be able to give us an extra $20 on top of that. Now listen, I am not upset about the fact were not getting more but to act like you giving me a surprise I don't even want and upgrading your house is somehow a gift to us is bullshit. I guarantee you if you ask anyone, what would you rather have, a nicer patio at your shower or the money were spending on the patio they're going to say the damn money. UGGGGHHHHHH
