**** LONG POST****

Too bad we can’t post videos. Yesterday I had a late prenatal checkup and the nurse couldn’t find a heartbeat anywhere. We looked about 15 minutes in a few spots. So yesterday my brothers gf brought a home Doppler, and I checked on the bottom left after a few tries on the right.. I found a strong little fast heartbeat with my other half. So today I went back to the clinic and the nurse tried again. (I didn’t tell her about the home Doppler). She found a strong heartbeat on my right top side near my belly button. I was shocked. I didn’t expect that at all. So as soon as I got home I tried the home Doppler on where she tried and there was a strong heart beat at 130-135 in my top right near my belly button.

and the bottom left I tried there was was also a strong heartbeat! It was 148-160!

Here I am in shock. (I know it could be the umbilical cord too but I also know it’s more of a swishing sound). The two heart beats on two separate sides had the strong thump with each beat. (I know mine. It’s slow and these two were not slow). I had an early *for fun u/s at 9 weeks at my local clinic. We weren’t searching or not and it was only 5 minutes the two ladies my coworkers wanted to watch and they both swore they saw another.. I just laughed it off* and another dating ultrasound at 13 weeks below is the photo. He didn’t look around much. And I’ve never had a transvaginal u/s. I had a gut feeling twins since I found out i was expecting and I’ve had dreams and signs there’s two. But the sonogram says otherwise. My next ultrasound is in 2 weeks.

I am currently 20 weeks 3 days. At my 13 weeks ultrasound I swore I could see something in the back but I didn’t want to correct the tech or anything so I said nothing.

Now I know it’s highly unlikely that there’s a missing twin. But I know it’s also possible that twins are discovered only at the 20 weeks ultrasound. Anyone have this experience?
