Water retention after period??

So I don’t know if this happens to anyone else, but I seem to gain a ton of weight AFTER my period has ended, regardless of how healthy I’m being. My mum says it’s just fluid retention, can anyone relate?? Its so frustrating!!

I usually swell up before and then the day my period starts I drop 2-3 lbs. it’s caused by fluctuating hormones so you could very well get it after your period, although it’s more uncommon. OTC water pills can help, and strange as it sounds, increasing your water intake. If you can, get your GP or obgyn can prescribe you hydrochlorothiazide, it’s a water pill that was around in your gramma’s time. I take it for the vertigo my Meniere’s gives me. Does wonders to drop the water weight.
