Period for a day ?

I'm 12 dpi and got a bfn and later in the day got my period yesterday although it's not due until much later this week. I didn't even have it for a full 24 hours and now it's completely gone. Has anyone experienced this?

I would say it's more likely implantation bleeding than a period

I'd say in 2-3 days you may have a faint line. Anything after should be more noticeable.
