Tongue pierced?

Question

I really can't decide if I want to get my tongue done or not. 😂😭
I'm really in debate and have no reason why except if I'll enjoy it as much as I think I will. I'm not really worried on pros and cons, just curious how many of you have or have had it done and how long. 😊
Just trying to sway one way or the other.

Excuse the weird faces I pull :’-) it’s quite difficult to get a good angle on them without looking crazy but I’ve had 6 of them for a good 10 years + an I love them, the only time they ever come out is if I go the dentist an they need to be removed for X-rays. The only thing they have changed is the speed that I eat, I have to take things slower so I don’t bite a ball an break a tooth :’-)

I’ve had mine almost 3 years. I only use the flexi bars bc the metal ones hurt my mouth. But I love it!

I’ve had mine since i was 17 (now I’m 18) it didn’t hurt at all i just recently took it out because I’m pregnant & having it on for some reason no matter how much i clean it or change it i get nauseous but they’re fun sometimes i forget i even have one

I got my tongue pierced back in August, the piercing motion itself didn’t hurt at all to me, it was the healing process that was the worst. i got mine done because i love the way they look and i like fidgeting with it when i’m bored. It can damage your gums and teeth but i feel like if you really want it , its just the risk you’ll have to take. just do your research on your piercer beforehand, look at their reviews and make sure their work area/tools are sterilized. i hope you go through with it 😊 its totally worth it 😉😊

I've had mine in for 8yrs, I love it and it's great for my anxiety. it didn't hurt and I had no issues eating (5 mins after leaving the shop I was in McDonald's stuffing my face), it was fully healed in a week. I wear a longer bar as its easier for me and it pretty much cured my s speech problem. I don't think I'll ever take it out, I'll be one of those cool old people with bright hair and loads a piercings lol

My mom got hers done a few years ago. She said it didn't hurt at all but it did hurt the following week.
