Id never get a name tattooed... i have have things that symbolise the person 
But yes if i had of got an ex’s name done id get it covered up

Depends if we had children together. For example. If me and my fiancé split. And I had his name on me, I'd keep it. Due to the fact he's my family, always will be. And our baby is too.

I didn't get his name, but I have a large tattoo of his astrological sign. I wouldn't cover it up, he was (now I'm talking like we broke up lol) a large part of my life for a long time. I don't see much wrong with it. although I would be annoyed if he had an exes name and people were constantly asking if that was his girlfriends or wife's name

Yes. Definitely. Unless he was now my ex because he passed away or something. Otherwise, Id get it covered because I wouldn’t want to make my new SO uncomfortable. I wouldn’t like him having another woman’s name tattooed on him, so I’d have to show the same respect.
