So as a way to start up the group I thought I would ask you guys about your story? If you have ASD when and how were you diagnosed? If you don't have ASD but someone close to you have, who is it and how does it affect you?

I got diagnosed when I was 19. It was a total coinsidens, I was starting a treatment for my generalised anxiety and depression at a new psychiatrist. Well it turned out that this guy was one of the leeding experts in Autism in adults in my country. After talking to him he said he was pretty sure I have aspergers. At first I was at a complete loss, but after reading about it everything suddenly made sense. But my mother refused to belive the diagnoses, which has been pretty rough.

It has been 4 years since i've been diagnosed, and I am getting by. I wish I had known about my autism sooner, but oh well, that's life 😊
