I’ve been wanting to join a group like for awhile. I take care of my husband’s cousin as my job who is autistic. She is considered non verbal because (most of the time) she won’t answer the questions you ask her except for saying yes or mhmm. Some days are smooth sailing and other days are harder since her family treat her like she isn’t capable of doing anything. She can do so much. I ask her every day what she would like for lunch even though I know I won’t get a reply. I asked today and she told me the exact restaurant and when she wanted to go. Y’all I feel like a proud momma right now!
