I feel really bad..

So this guy and I've been talking, and we had "sex". But it wasn't really sex. There was oral and foreplay, but when he penetrated me it hurt a lot, and I told him to stop.(virgin) He was respectful and stop and I gave him a blow job, but he didn't get to finish because he had to work. And I feel bad because we've been talking about sex and I wanted for it to be at least okay for my first time. Is it normal to feel bad?
