Thanking boyfriends parents

Hi guys. So today my car broke down right before i was trying to go home (Ohio) from my boyfriends house in Illinois. His mom and dad came out and looked at my car and helped me get a tow truck and get it to the mechanics. What a way to meet them! They were super sweet and i dont know what i would've done without the help. I am going to get them a thank you card and a gift card to a restaurant so they can go out to dinner together. Just wondering if anyone else has any other ideas on how to thank them. Thanks in advance
