Coming off of birth control

I was taking ortho micronor aka the mini pill. it didn't have estrogen. I stopped birth control Jan 11th. Well i started spotting on the 5th of april and thursday will be 2 weeks bleeding. is this normal coming off birth control? im also wondering if my periods will return back to normal(they were always irregular) I was on birth control for 7 years to regulate me. I don't want to have to go back on it because we are TTC. In 2010 i bleed til 2011 and that's why i had to get on birth control my doctor said it was stress that caused it. im so scared im gonna go back to that again. Please if you have any tips or info i will be greatly appreciated.
