IUD insertion on your period?!

Question

So tomorrow I have an appointment to get an IUD. I never know when my period is coming since it's so irregular and lucky me, it came today. Do you think it will be okay for me to still go in and have it done?

My doctor actually scheduled it while I was in my period. Makes insertion easier. However, I expelled the IUD twice. I wanted it to work so bad!

That’s the best time to get it because your cervix is open and it won’t hurt as much.
