Buying off your registry because of sale?

Question

Has anyone bought something on their own baby registry because it went on sale? I'm really wanting this bottle warmer that has great reviews. It's normally $70 and is now in sale for $40. I didn't want to get it off the registry in case someone gifts it to us, but then, most people don't follow registries anyway...

More than half of the stuff I need on my registry are on sale!! It's so tempting...

If you buy off the babies r us registry they give you 10% back. Many of my baby shower guests didn't buy off the registry. I used it as my list and bought what I needed.

Thanks for all the input, ladies! I decided to buy it anyway because I treat my registry like my own personal shopping list. I figured that the chances were high that I'd have to buy it later (and at full price).

I'm now so excited. Now, if only the baby brezza also went on sale for less than $99...

1 person bought me a gift off my registry. Literally. I'd say buy it. People don't want to buy practical stuff, they want to buy cute stuff. Get it while it's on sale :-)

If you buy off the registry they usually take bought items off , we have babies r us and they do that , we buy off the registry because not a lot was bought from there and we add on to it and then buy off of it because of the savings lol .

We are buying things from our registry, too. As you buy the items, they should be removed automatically so you don't get duplicates.

Our registry is actually only for ourselves ... We use it to track what we want to buy and deals.... Will not be giving it to anyone....., but have not bought anything yet.... Will only start buying things around 26 weeks.... But oh will i know exactly what to go get it will be very fast :) plus when you buy things show the registry number at check out they delete it frim the registry so no one buys it again :)

I made a baby registry and then went shopping and bought everything and had to go back and delete things lol... Honestly most people have there own cute ideas of what they wanna get you like outfits and diapers. If you find things on sale don't wait to see if someone will get it. :) good luck

Is it the kiinde bottle warmer..... if yes then i highly recommend it. I work at buy buy baby and its a top seller and i bought it and am using it as we speak and i love it. Steam free.. safest way to go for warming breastmilk! I say go for it no matter what kind it is... theres plenty for others to buy you!

Buy it. Oh well if someone has gifted it to you, you can exchange it. Plus you don't really need a bottle warmer. It's just something to take up space and cause more issues than it's worth. You can always put it in the sink with warm water or you can teach babe to have a cold or room temp bottle. It's nice during the summer when it's so hot.
