Does anyone know the laws if you use up sick time

I had bleeding, the flu and stomach bug that hit the first couple of this pregnancy. A co-worker said she heard our boss ask hr if “ he should write me up for this”. You can’t legally write up a pregnant women who was sick and pregnant? I just want to know if I have fmla on my side. I went to doctor each time, so it should be documented. I just feel like he’s playing with Fire.

You absolutely can write a pregnant  Woman up who is sick. I would do the same thing. It's not about that person it's about policies and making sure the workplace is fair for everyone there. So I strongly suggest talking to your doctor about and FMA lay claim and they can backdated to the 1st day of pregnancy. This is really the only way to protect your job if you have any further absences and if someone brought that to me I'd have no issur protecting then.

I found out what happened. I had issues bleeding in the first trimester so I was at the doctor a lot. He was well aware of the situation but that took up days. So technically I wasn’t missing work, but I had to use sick time for that. I also have an excused absence in there. That doesn’t take away from the situation, but I should be able to at least not get written up with the absence. 
I am a good employee who maybe used 2 days last year and the year before. I am
A hard worker so I feel a little mistreated, especially when I give a lot to the a company. My boss has his favorites and that’s what I’m nervous about. I am by far a better employee statistically, metrically. I messed up on sick time and appointments. I just feel that my pregnancy is the reason why I’m being targeted. There are people who are not pregnant and can not compare to metrically and have 4 sick days. I know for a fact he will turn a blind eye to them. I think that’s what burns.

If you’ve used all your sick time up, then yes they very well might be able to write you up. Is it fair? Nope. Are they singling you out? Probably. I’d go to HR and ask what you should do regarding sick time and if you should go ahead and go on FMLA and not work due to pregnancy. You can’t expect them to give you more sick days because you are pregnant (it’s stupid and a stupid rule I know), and FMLA doesn’t automatically cover you- you have to get it approved, just like you have to schedule maternity leave.

If you are having problems go to your doctor and get a FLMA filed. They can back date it.  
Don’t know how the law is. They can write you up.

I agree, have your dr fill out Fmla paperwork.  It can cover you for sporadic days you need off, not just chunks of time.

as long as you followed policy about letting them know within enough time to get your shift covered Etc, I don't see what they can write you up on. I'm glad you have proof though. No one has compassion anymore, it's sad.

Generally, you have to clear FMLA time with your employer, and it’s not used for random sick days. You probably can get written up for too many absences. 
My job is a large employer subject to FMLA, but we have to clear all FMLA time with our employers as soon as we know we’re going to need it and as soon as it’s reasonably possible.
